It all started when…
Leap’n Learners Preschool was established by Amy Simkins in 2007 and has quickly grown into one of the most reputable academic and movement preschools in the area. The school is a fusion of Amy’s two greatest passions: dance and early childhood education.
Our preschool campuses located at Expressions Dance in Bountiful and Centerville, Utah, innovative curriculum, and equipment are just a few of the many benefits our students enjoy, as part of their first classroom experience. From the moment your child walks through our doors, they enter a world of exciting exploration and discovery designed to actively develop physical and mental abilities, sharpen skills and set the stage for a happy and productive lifetime of learning. Our program follows standards published by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Utah State Office of Education (USOE). We specialize in preparing children to enter kindergarten by incorporating all skills and requirements supplied by the USOE.

Our classes create a rich environment of hands-on learning, carefully balanced between teacher- and child-directed discovery. We offer a wide variety of instructional strategies, including multi-sensory exploration and thematic units carefully tailored for individual learning styles. We encourage and allow every child to discover, explore and even get messy.
Additionally, teacher observation and child progress are communicated regularly to parents, ensuring they play an active role in their child’s education.
